Emotional Control
The concept of stoicism is often misunderstood as a lack of emotion. However this is not what the stoics intended. Stoicism is not a lack of emotion, rather it is to have control of your reactions to your emotions. Therefore a “Stoic man” is a man of control. A man who can think logically and assess their surroundings. A man who can make the best possible decision depending on their circumstances.
There are really only two options for a man. Control, or the lack thereof. You either have control of yourself and your life, or lack control and let the whims of your inner emotions and those around you control your life.
